Scripps Networks Acquires Incando For $4.7 Million

Scripps Networks, the parent company of HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Fine Living TV Network, and Great American Country announced today that they have acquired Incando for $4.1 million. Incando is the parent company of photo and video sharing website Washington D.C. based Pickle.com. Scripps also recently acquired Recipezaar for $25 million last month according to paidContent.

“We are committed to our strategy of owning the food, shelter and lifestyle categories online as well as on air,” stated John Lansing, the President of Scripps Networks. “With the acquisition of Incando, we now have the back-end tools to engage consumers, viewers, and marketers in a multi-branded, multimedia online universe with compelling, personalized experiences.”
