T-Mobile has launched a royal wedding video as part of a promotional campaign. They did a royal wedding version of the Jill and Kevin’s Wedding Entrance viral video. Sprint CEO: “If AT&T Is Allowed To Swallow T-Mobile, Competition Will Be Stifled”

Sprint Nextel CEO Dan Hesse recently did an interview about his thoughts in regards to AT&T’s acquisition of T-Mobile. Hesse said that AT&T’s acquisition of T-Mobile would jeopardize innovation. AT&T announced that they were going to acquire T-Mobile for $39 billion in late March. “If AT&T is allowed to swallow T-Mobile, competition will be stifled, growth will be stifled and wireless innovation will be jeopardized,” said Hesse in an interview with reporters in downtown San Francisco. T-Mobile Sidekick 4G Arriving On April 20th For $99.99

T-Mobile has announced that the Sidekick 4G will be available on April 20th for $99.99 with a 2 year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. The Sidekick 4G was built by Samsung, runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo), and it has a custom user interface that is familiar to Sidekick fans. There is also a QWERTY keyboard with rounded keys and it is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 Samsung Hummingbird processor. It will run on the T-Mobile 4G HSPA+ network. [BoyGeniusReport]
Nokia Releasing Symbian-Powered Astound Phone In The U.S.

Nokia has announced today that they are introducing the Astound phone in the United States. The Astound is a lower end smartphone that runs on the Symbian operating system. The device has a 620 megahertz processor and 300 megabytes of memory.

T-Mobile Announces 42 Mbps HSPA+ Cities and Devices

T-Mobile has announced network expansion in 2011. The first three cities to receive a 42 Mbps HSPA+ mobile broadband service in the U.S. is New York, Las Vegas, and Orlando. After spreading in those cities Chicago, Long Island, and northern New Jersey will be the next ones.

T-Mobile LG G-Slate Tablet Costs $529.99 With 2 Year Contract

T-Mobile has officially announced the price of the 8.9-inch 3D-capable G-Slate tablet from LG. The tablet is powered by a Tegra 2 processor and Android Honeycomb operating system. Verizon Wireless CEO Says They Have No Interest In Acquiring Sprint

Verizon Wireless CEO Daniel Mead said that he would not oppose AT&T’s plan to acquire T-Mobile USA for $39 billion. He also said that Verizon Wireless does not have any interest in buying Sprint Nextel Corporation. “We’re not interested in Sprint. We don’t need them,” stated Mead at the CTIA Wireless Conference. AT&T Agreed To Pay T-Mobile $3 Billion If Deal Fails

If AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) is unable to buy T-Mobile USA for $39 billion due to regulatory concerns, then there will be another way that AT&T loses. AT&T will have to pay $3 billion, provide promised valuable spectrum, and a roaming agreement to T-Mobile. “In the event the transaction does not receive regulatory approval satisfactory to AT&T and the transaction does not close, AT&T will be required to pay a breakup fee of $3 (billion), transfer to T-Mobile certain AWS spectrum that is not needed by AT&T for its initial LTE roll out, and provide a roaming agreement to T-Mobile on terms favorable to both parties,” stated AT&T. AT&T Planning To Use T-Mobile’s Advanced Wireless Service For Building Long Term Evolution Spectrum

During a press conference, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) discussed the acquisition of T-Mobile USA. AT&T has an interest in increasing their 700MHz Long Term Evolution (LTE) spectrum with T-Mobile’s 1700 MHz advanced wireless service (AWS). This would help AT&T deploy the company’s LTE to 95% of the population in America. T-Mobile uses the AWS spectrum for their 3G services.
