UK healthtech company 01Health announced it has raised $15 million in Series A funding, led by Gresham House Ventures, with participation from existing investors Balderton Capital, Eka Ventures, and Wavemaker360, as well as angel investors including Blockchain.com co-founder Nicolas Cary. The new capital will support the expansion of the company’s platform throughout the UK and its entry into the U.S. market, where trials are already underway, and a head of U.S. commercial operations has been appointed.
Founded in 2022 by former NHS doctor Dr. Sonia Szamocki, 01Health developed a platform designed to address shortages in specialist healthcare by enabling advanced treatments to be delivered through local clinics. The company describes its approach as bringing “Harley Street to the high street.”
Until now, the platform has powered 01Health-owned dental services 32Co and Aerox Health. With the commercial launch of the platform, practices, practice groups, and dental service organizations will now be able to license the technology directly for the first time.
01Health has grown to a team of more than 100 employees and says that 90% of the UK population lives within 30 minutes of a 32Co dentist using its platform. The company has expanded beyond orthodontics into dental sleep medicine through Aerox Health and is conducting trials in additional healthcare areas.
The platform combines specialist oversight, clinical protocols, AI-powered patient acquisition, communication tools, and operational systems into a unified infrastructure that allows specialist clinicians to support larger networks of general practitioners remotely. Following a 12-month pilot with enterprise partners, the platform is now being made available commercially in the UK and the U.S.
Headquartered in London, 01Health has raised $25 million to date. The company employs AI experts, technologists, educators, and a clinical team led by Professor Ama Johal.
