360training has acquired select assets from Electronic Medical Certification, or eMedCert, expanding its healthcare training platform with an established online life support certification business.
Founded in 2014, eMedCert provides online Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support certification and recertification courses.
Its joint accreditation with the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine also makes CME continuing education credits available with its courses.
eMedCert has delivered more than 150,000 certifications to nearly 70,000 learners.
That established user base will join 360training’s broader training ecosystem, providing another healthcare-specific offering centered on recurring professional certification requirements.
360training plans to combine eMedCert’s certification programs with its learning infrastructure to support both individual healthcare professionals and institutional employers.
The combined offering is expected to help customers manage initial certification, recertification, completion tracking and upcoming renewal requirements through a more unified platform.
For enterprise customers, the combination also adds centralized compliance reporting and administrative tools alongside online coursework.
The acquisition expands a much larger digital training operation.
360training has issued more than 21 million training certificates to over 12.5 million learners across more than 17 brands.
Its markets span healthcare, food and beverage, environmental health and safety, real estate, financial services, power and utilities and other regulated industries.
360training is a portfolio company of GreyLion and Vestar Capital Partners and continues to evaluate acquisitions that extend its portfolio of regulated training and certification products.
