3thix – a modern-day approach to all things game monetization – recently announced its first major investment series, totaling $8.5 million, for its upcoming platform. The investors in this initial round include Hand of Midas, the family office of Shurick Agapitov, founder of Xsolla, a global video game commerce company, and Sonic Boom Ventures, the family office of Steve Kokinos, co-founder and former CEO of Algorand.
Since being founded in 2005, Xsolla has helped thousands of game developers and publishers of all sizes fund, market, launch, and monetize games globally and across multiple platforms. Plus, 3thix will be integrated as the web3 infrastructure for Xsolla and its partners.
These companies will assist 3thix in creating:
– Permanent solutions to free-to-play monetization and retention issues
– Maximum the monetization potential of every game
– Tools to quickly build real-world economies by effectively revitalizing the way in-game transactions occur
– An inclusive model to extract data value for both players and developers
3thix plans to simplify users’ in-game experience by keeping data private. And by building an IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) model in a fully decentralized manner will protect its user base’s personal information while collecting useful data to share insights with developers and advertisers.
The final two phases will integrate their SDK for Game Devs and IDFA replacements to help free-to-play gaming flourish, see 3thix pursue studio investments, offer publishing services, and partner with like-minded individuals.
