410 Medical, a North Carolina-based medical device company focused on advanced resuscitation technologies for emergency and critical care, has completed an oversubscribed $12 million financing round. Orlando Health Ventures led the round, with participation from Hatteras Venture Partners, Ballad Health, OSF Healthcare, Rex Health Ventures, CU Healthcare Innovations Fund, Sarnova, Catalyst by Wellstar, Tampa General and a new undisclosed strategic investor. The capital will be used to scale commercial operations and support the launch of a next-generation LifeFlow infuser planned for 2027.
Founded in 2013, 410 Medical makes the LifeFlow product line, which received FDA clearance in 2016 and is designed to help clinicians rapidly deliver fluid and blood products to patients experiencing sepsis, hemorrhagic shock and other life-threatening conditions where speed of resuscitation is critical. LifeFlow is currently used by more than 500 hospitals and EMS agencies across the country, and nearly 80,000 patients have been treated using the technology. The oversubscribed financing round, led predominantly by hospital-based investors and health systems with direct clinical familiarity with LifeFlow, reflects both commercial validation and strategic alignment among investors who have seen the product’s impact in their own institutions.
The new funding will enable 410 Medical to accelerate adoption across additional hospital systems and EMS agencies nationwide while also investing in the next generation of LifeFlow technology. The next-generation device, drawing on nearly ten years of field experience and front-line clinician feedback, will address unmet needs around speed, portability and ease of use in resuscitative care environments where every minute matters. The company expects to launch the new platform in 2027.
