6sense — a leading account engagement platform — announced recently that it has raised $125 million in Series D funding at a $2.1 billion valuation. And D1 Capital Partners led the round with participation from Sapphire Ventures and Tiger Global. Existing investor Insight Partners also joined the round.
The 6sense platform’s AI and big data architecture sets the company apart from existing sales and marketing technologies by unifying silos of data to create a single system of insights and orchestration capabilities. And this architecture enables sales and marketing teams to identify and engage target accounts at the right time with a relevant message on any channel.
This latest round of funding follows 6sense’s third straight year of 100%+ revenue growth while leading the account-based technology market. The company’s rapid growth was fueled by the tremendous value customers realize with its platform, including significant increases in pipeline, revenue, average sale price, and deal velocity.
The funding seeks will help drive 6sense’s growth initiatives and further accelerate the company’s aggressive product roadmap. And the key areas of investment include expanding 6sense’s data layer; further developing the company’s machine learning-based next-best-action predictions; and continuing to scale its AI-based orchestration capabilities to deliver ideal customer journeys based on data and insights. This funding comes just 15 months after 6sense announced $40 million in Series C funding led by Insight Partners.
