7RIDGE, a specialist investor focused on financial markets infrastructure and technology, announced the acquisition of the Fidelity International Strategic Ventures (FISV) portfolio of financial technology investments from Fidelity International, a global asset manager.
The transaction broadens 7RIDGE’s exposure across several areas of financial markets technology, including wealth management, retirement, asset management, and capital markets infrastructure. As part of the acquisition, the FISV investment team, including Alokik Advani, Michael Sim, James Devlin, and Tom Judge, will join 7RIDGE following completion of the deal.
The acquired portfolio will form Ecosystem Impact Fund II (EIF II), with 7RIDGE simultaneously announcing the first and final close of the fund alongside completion of the transaction. EIF II builds on the firm’s original Ecosystem Impact Fund and will continue supporting financial technology companies focused on advancing global markets infrastructure.
Built over more than seven years, the portfolio reflects several structural trends shaping financial markets, including infrastructure modernization, next-generation financial products, and expanded access to capital and investment solutions. The companies within the portfolio hold established positions across multiple segments of the financial ecosystem.
According to 7RIDGE, the acquisition strengthens the firm’s capabilities within financial markets infrastructure while adding a team with deep industry expertise. The company said it looks forward to partnering closely with the portfolio companies to support continued growth initiatives.
The transaction received backing from Pantheon as lead investor and Coller Capital as junior lead investor. 7RIDGE was advised by Proskauer Rose LLP and Carey Olsen as legal counsels, while EY served as tax adviser.
