8 Bridge Group Acquires Majority Stake In 340BIntel As Part Of Healthcare Technology Expansion

8 Bridge Group has made a strategic investment in 340BIntel and acquired a majority stake in the healthcare technology company, marking an expansion of its investment portfolio into healthcare software.

The investment represents the first phase of a longer-term healthcare technology initiative that 8 Bridge Group expects could generate more than $2 billion in revenue over the next decade. The firm plans to support software businesses designed to improve healthcare operations and financial sustainability for providers.

340BIntel develops technology focused on the federal 340B drug pricing program. Its platform is designed to help covered entities identify and recover previously unclaimed 340B savings while working alongside their existing operating processes.

The software analyzes areas including prescription capture, patient eligibility, referral patterns, and pharmacy network performance to uncover additional savings opportunities. 340BIntel is designed to integrate with existing third-party administrators and internal 340B teams without requiring healthcare organizations to replace their current systems or workflows.

8 Bridge Group brings more than a decade of experience working with hospitals, health systems, and clinic networks. The company also plans to provide financial resources and access to more than 100 developers to accelerate development and expansion of the 340BIntel platform.

340BIntel is now working to expand its network nationally, with plans to add 120 nonprofit hospitals by the fourth quarter of 2027. The companies said the broader objective is to help nonprofit healthcare providers maximize eligible 340B savings that can be reinvested into patient care and community services.

The partnership also gives 8 Bridge Group a foundation for additional healthcare technology investments. The firm is targeting software applications that can improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial performance, and support healthcare organizations serving low-income and uninsured patients.
