95 Percent Group, an education publishing and technology company focused on evidence-based literacy instruction, announced it has agreed to acquire TouchMath, a provider of multisensory math programs designed to support students with learning differences.
The acquisition expands 95 Percent Group’s product ecosystem beyond literacy into foundational math instruction. Both organizations focus on explicit, systematic teaching approaches grounded in research on how students learn foundational academic skills. By combining literacy and math solutions, the company aims to support educators with integrated resources that strengthen core learning outcomes.
TouchMath has more than 50 years of experience developing instructional materials designed to help students build foundational math skills through tactile and visual techniques. Its flagship methodology uses a multisensory counting system that allows students to physically interact with numbers while learning arithmetic concepts. The program is widely used in special education and intervention settings.
Research cited by the company highlights the effectiveness of the program. In one alternating treatments study involving middle school students in special education, single digit addition accuracy improved from 4% at baseline to 92% using the TouchMath method.
Following the transaction, the combined organization will operate under the 95 Percent Group brand. Schools and districts currently using either company’s programs will continue working with their existing teams and products without immediate changes to service or support.
The acquisition supports 95 Percent Group’s strategy to broaden its instructional offerings while continuing to build on the science of reading. The company’s portfolio includes the One95 Literacy Ecosystem and All About Learning Press, which it acquired in 2025 to expand into the homeschool and small private school markets.
Today, the company serves more than 5,000 school districts as well as a growing number of private schools and homeschool educators across the United States.
