SWEN Capital Partners closed SWEN PE Select Europa 7 at €236 million. The fund is the seventh vintage of SWEN’s European multi-strategy private equity program, which has invested directly and indirectly alongside European private equity managers since 2008.

At final close, approximately 80% of the fund had already been committed to underlying investments.

SWEN expects to continue making commitments through the end of 2026 and into the first half of 2027.

Through an overcommitment mechanism, the fund can make commitments equal to as much as 120% of its capital base.

That gives Europa 7 capacity for approximately €283 million of total investment commitments.

The strategy combines primary fund commitments, secondary transactions, and minority direct investments.

Its target allocation is approximately 50% to primary investments, 20% to secondaries, and 30% to minority direct investments.

The structure is designed to provide diversified access to specialist European private equity managers and portfolio companies while allowing SWEN to manage pacing, manager selection, and diversification.

Europa 7 is similar in size to its three immediate predecessors.

Europa 4 raised €261 million, Europa 5 raised €240 million, and Europa 6 raised €255 million.

Europa 7 is also the first fund in the series classified as Article 9 under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation.

SWEN said the vehicle is one of the relatively few European Article 9 private equity fund-of-funds strategies focused on small and mid-sized companies.
