A-Champs has acquired Danish training technology company Goal Station, forming an integrated global ecosystem designed to accelerate cognitive, technical, and physical player development. The Barcelona-based sports technology company will now combine its ROX cognitive performance system with Goal Station’s Soccer IQ training methodology to create what it describes as the most advanced soccer performance training environment available.
The acquisition brings together two complementary technologies that address one of the most significant challenges in modern player development: creating training environments that replicate the speed, complexity, and decision-making demands of real-match situations. By uniting the Perceive–Process–Execute framework with multisensory cognitive stimuli, A-Champs and Goal Station aim to improve the transfer of training to real-match performance by integrating perception, decision-making, and execution into unified player sessions.
A-Champs’ patented ROX technology uses light, sound, and vibration to stimulate decision-making and cognitive responses. Combined with Goal Station’s modular, innovative training environments, including rebounders, mobile setups, and packed arenas, players can train with measurable performance data that is collected and analyzed through the A-Champs app. The platform enables individualized training plans based on position, age, and skill level and can deliver up to 1,000 repetitions per session, resulting in meaningful improvements in reaction time and visual perception.
Brian Sørensen, the head coach of Everton FC Women, created the Goal Station methodology. His approach gained prominence after helping transform Fortuna Hjørring from a Second Division team into a UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarterfinalist within two years. Twenty of the 26 players under his leadership progressed to top clubs, with several, including Nadia Nadim and Pernille Harder, citing Goal Station as a meaningful part of their development.
The combined company plans to accelerate global expansion, especially in the United States, where demand for analytics-driven and cognitive training systems is rising among academies and professional clubs. A-Champs technology is already used by more than half of Bundesliga clubs, over 40 percent of Danish Superliga teams, and organizations across LaLiga, the Premier League, and Major League Soccer. The acquisition strengthens A-Champs’ position as the market shifts toward training systems that merge cognitive science, technology, and real-time data feedback.
A-Champs will continue working with elite clubs and performance centers worldwide as it integrates Goal Station into its offering and expands its data-driven development ecosystem.
