A10 Networks Acquires TrojAI To Expand AI Security Roadmap

A10 Networks announced the acquisition of TrojAI, an AI security company specializing in securing, testing and governing AI applications and agentic workflows, expanding A10’s strategy to protect AI models, applications and agents across deployment environments.

TrojAI provides two layers of AI security. Its red teaming capabilities probe models, agents and applications for vulnerabilities during development, while its runtime protection technology provides real-time defenses once systems are deployed. Together, the technologies are designed to help organizations adopt generative and agentic AI securely.

Following the acquisition, A10 plans to integrate TrojAI’s software-based capabilities with its hardware-based AI firewall offerings, enabling customers to protect AI models, data and agents across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. The combined platform is intended to support organizations with stringent data sovereignty requirements by allowing them to secure AI assets within environments they control.

TrojAI’s capabilities are expected to become part of A10’s broader security portfolio, giving customers the ability to secure AI wherever their data resides.

A10 said the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on its financial results for fiscal year 2026. The company believes the transaction strengthens its position to address security requirements associated with AI deployments and application rollouts over the next two to five years.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in San Jose, California, A10 Networks provides application and network security solutions to more than 7,000 customers worldwide.

KEY QUOTES:

“AI is changing both what enterprises build and the attack surface they have to defend, and traditional controls weren’t designed for non-deterministic models and autonomous agents. TrojAI is a natural fit for A10, strategically and operationally. Pairing our hardware-based AI firewall with TrojAI’s software-based red teaming and runtime protection helps customers adopt AI quickly and confidently, protecting their models, data, and agents without sacrificing the latency or availability they rely on us for, whether on-premises, in the cloud, or hybrid. For customers with strict data-sovereignty requirements, it means embracing AI while keeping their most sensitive assets in environments they control.”

Dhrupad Trivedi, President and Chief Executive Officer, A10 Networks

“Enterprises and public-sector organizations are adopting AI at an unprecedented pace, and they need to innovate securely while maintaining sovereignty over their AI security infrastructure. Together with A10, we can secure and govern the models, agents, and applications becoming core to how organizations operate. I’m proud of what our team has built, and excited to bring these capabilities to A10’s customers and channels.”
