Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo has added Ryan Estes as a partner in its Cerritos office, joining the firm’s Private Labor and Employment Practice Group. Estes brings extensive experience defending employers in complex employment litigation, having handled more than 300 depositions, argued dispositive motions, and prepared multiple appellate cases.
Estes defends employers and management across a broad range of matters including wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, Fair Credit Reporting Act violations, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims, unfair business practice claims, and trade secret litigation. He represents clients in state and federal courts and before administrative bodies including the California Labor Commissioner’s Office, the California Civil Rights Department, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
In addition to litigation, Estes counsels employers on OFCCP and EEOC compliance, employee discipline and hiring, wage and hour issues, intellectual property protection, DEI initiatives, privacy matters, leave laws, internal investigations, and personnel policy development. He also handles executive compensation and separation agreements.
