Aampere announced it has closed a €4.2 million late seed funding round backed by Trind Ventures, Vend, GIMIC Ventures, G-FUND, Maverick Ventures GmbH & Co. KG, and a group of experienced automotive founders. The financing marks another step in the company’s push to modernize how used electric vehicles are bought and sold across Europe.
The company reported that it has grown revenue fourfold year over year, a pace of growth it attributes to rising demand from dealers seeking a more efficient way to source inventory. Aampere said it has sold thousands of used electric vehicles to date and has expanded its dealer network to more than six countries, reflecting steady momentum in bringing dealers onto its platform across the continent. Alongside this commercial growth, the company’s team has expanded past 25 employees as it builds out the operational capacity needed to support a larger, more geographically dispersed customer base.
Aampere pointed to structural conditions in the German market as the underlying opportunity driving its growth. The company said Germany’s used electric vehicle market is expanding at approximately 60 percent annually, a rate that reflects surging adoption of electric vehicles broadly, but noted that the market itself remains fragmented, slow moving, and largely analog in how transactions are conducted. Aampere said closing that gap, by building digital infrastructure that brings speed and structure to a historically manual process, is central to its strategy and the reason it believes there is significant room to scale.
With the new capital in hand, Aampere said it plans to hire across all departments as part of a broader push to strengthen its position in the European used EV market. The company frames this hiring push as a direct extension of its growth strategy, aimed at capturing more of the opportunity created by the market’s rapid expansion and continued lack of modern digital infrastructure.
