AAVRANI: Acquired By Nivora Group To Expand Ayurvedic Beauty Brand Globally

AAVRANI, a prestige beauty brand known for blending Ayurvedic traditions with clinically validated formulations, has been acquired by Nivora Group, a consumer-focused private equity firm. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2017 by Rooshy Roy and Justin Silver, AAVRANI established itself by combining ancient Indian wellness practices with modern scientific rigor. The company raised more than $15 million in funding and expanded its retail footprint with a launch in Sephora U.S. and Canada in 2024, helping bring Ayurvedic beauty into the mainstream prestige market.

The acquisition marks a leadership transition, with both co-founders expected to depart the company upon completion of the deal. Nivora Group plans to build on AAVRANI’s foundation by expanding distribution across the United States and select international markets, while continuing to support product innovation rooted in Ayurvedic principles.

Nivora cited the brand’s differentiated positioning, disciplined product development, and established retail presence as key factors behind the acquisition. The firm also highlighted growing consumer demand for holistic, results-driven beauty products as a key tailwind for future growth.

The transaction positions AAVRANI for its next phase of scaling, leveraging Nivora’s resources and expertise to broaden its market reach and deepen its presence in the global beauty industry.
