AblePay Health Raises $20 Million Series A Led By F-Prime

AblePay Health raised $20 million in Series A funding to expand its healthcare affordability and patient payment platform. F-Prime led the round, with participation from A1 Health Ventures and .406 Ventures.

AblePay plans to use the funding to accelerate growth, expand its technology platform, and reach additional healthcare systems and patients.

The company focuses on helping patients manage out-of-pocket medical expenses while improving payment performance for healthcare providers.

AblePay said Americans paid approximately $591 billion out of pocket for healthcare in 2025, representing a 6% increase from the prior year.

The company’s technology integrates with healthcare providers and provides guaranteed non-recourse payment on an accelerated and predictable timeline.

Patients receive flexible payment options and can potentially save on their out-of-pocket balances.

Members also receive access to an advocacy team that assists with billing questions and issues.

AblePay was founded in 2016 and is now entering its second decade of operations.

The new capital will support additional product development and expansion as the company seeks to address affordability challenges for both patients and healthcare organizations.

KEY QUOTES:

“Healthcare affordability affects both sides of the bill. Patients need a better way to manage the cost of care, and providers need a better way to collect the revenue they have already earned.”
