Abry Partners has appointed Yusef Kassim as Head of Capital Strategy and Investor Relations, effective October 1, 2026, strengthening the private equity firm’s capital formation and investor engagement capabilities.
Kassim will lead Abry’s investor relations function while helping shape the firm’s broader capital strategy across its investment platforms. His appointment comes as Abry continues to develop its multi-strategy investment platform and deepen relationships with institutional investors.
Kassim brings more than 25 years of experience across capital formation and business development, spanning private equity, hedge funds and credit.
He joins Abry from Advent International, where he served as a Managing Director responsible for institutional investor relationships and capital formation across North America and Latin America.
Before Advent, Kassim held senior investor relations and business development positions at Blue Harbour Group, Eton Park and Gerson Lehrman Group. He began his career at Goldman Sachs.
The leadership transition also includes the retirement of Pam Harris, who has served as Abry’s Chief Investor Relations Officer. Harris will move into a Senior Advisor role following six years with the firm.
Abry was founded in 1989 and focuses on sector-oriented private equity investing. The firm has completed more than $90 billion of leveraged transactions and other private equity or preferred equity investments since inception and currently manages approximately $16 billion across several fund strategies.
Kassim’s appointment is intended to bring Abry additional experience working with institutional investors across multiple asset classes as the firm continues expanding its capital base and investment strategies.
