Accenture acquired Aristal, a Malaysia-based consulting firm specializing in financial services, marking its first banking-focused deal in the country.
The acquisition enhances Accenture’s ability to assist Malaysian banks in upgrading their systems, enhancing operations, and managing significant changes, such as mergers. Founded in 2006, Aristal is recognized for its professional advice and expertise in core banking transformations, having successfully delivered large-scale IT and business upgrades for financial institutions across Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.
The 30 senior team members will join Accenture’s Financial Services practice in Malaysia, combining sector knowledge with Accenture’s technology to enhance scalable transformation projects.
Malaysia’s efforts are driven by industry-wide system modernization and digital growth. This move reflects Accenture’s ongoing investment in Southeast Asia, supporting clients in adopting AI, cloud, and modern core systems through initiatives such as acquiring Percipient’s digital twin technology in Singapore and establishing the AI Refinery Engineering Hub to foster innovation.
