Accenture Completes Acquisition Of Faculty To Expand AI Capabilities

Accenture announced that it has completed its acquisition of Faculty, a UK-based artificial intelligence company known for applying AI across public and private sectors. The deal strengthens Accenture’s capabilities in delivering safe, secure, and scalable AI solutions as enterprises increasingly look to integrate AI into core business processes.

With the transaction finalized, Faculty CEO and co-founder Dr. Marc Warner has taken on an expanded role as Accenture’s chief technology officer and joined the company’s Global Management Committee. The move signals Accenture’s continued focus on advancing its AI strategy and reinforcing its position as a partner for enterprise reinvention.

The acquisition brings more than 400 AI professionals from Faculty into Accenture, including data scientists and AI engineers. These additions are expected to enhance Accenture’s ability to deliver AI-driven transformation at scale for clients across industries.

Founded in 2014, Faculty has built a reputation as one of Europe’s leading applied AI companies, offering services such as AI strategy, AI safety, and the development and deployment of high-performance AI systems. Its work includes projects like the UK National Health Service’s Early Warning System during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Faculty’s enterprise decision intelligence platform, Frontier, will be integrated into Accenture’s broader suite of tools designed to help organizations make faster and more informed decisions by connecting data, AI models, and business processes. The companies are already collaborating on initiatives in sectors such as life sciences, including efforts to improve the efficiency of clinical trial planning and execution.

Accenture said the acquisition will support its broader strategy of helping clients adopt AI responsibly while driving operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
