Could you tell me more about your background? Borsok said:
“I’ve been involved in various business initiatives, including a FinTech company that I founded. Those experiences taught me many lessons that I later applied to AccessiWay.”
Formation Of The Company
How did the idea for the company come together? Borsok shared:
“Accessibility is a complex topic. We recognized a significant gap between technology and human expertise. AccessiWay strived to synergise the two approaches to create a holistic approach that can provide a simplified, affordable and scalable solution for all types and sizes of clients.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Borsok reflected:
“Really hard to choose one, I guess that all the incredibly intense and challenging moments and periods throughout the journey – from first market penetration success, to initial scaling to different pivots that we have done internally including optimization of our offering as well as international expansion all the way to the transaction with team.blue and the very fast growth across the board phase that we are going through now. Mainly and above all are the memories and experiences that I have shared with my team, I couldn’t ask for better people to work with – I am extremely lucky in this regard.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Borsok explained:
“AccessiWay provides a mix of advanced technology and specialized human expertise to make websites, applications, and every digital touchpoint accessible and compliant with international standards like the WCAG and the European Accessibility Act.”
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Borsok acknowledged:
“As a growth startup in an emerging market, there is fierce competition that grows every day, from new players entering the market to existing ones improving themselves. In order to gain and retain your edge you need to think all the time about what the clients and the end-users want. I believe that once a company is over-focusing on what it wants to sell and forgets the clients it loses a core mindset component that will most likely lead to loss of edge and may put the future of the company in danger. I am very proud to be part of a company that thinks of the clients and end-users first, and tries to build it in a way that makes sense for everyone.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Borsok noted:
“The technology evolved based on the market needs, just as mentioned in the previous point. Our Product team is working relentlessly in order to provide top notch, innovative and ground breaking solutions.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Borsok cited:
“We’ve hit several important milestones over the past few years that reflect both our growth and the impact of our mission.”
“One of the most meaningful recognitions was being listed among the Top 10 LinkedIn Startups in Italy. It validated the hard work, innovation, and culture we’ve built, and highlighted how much our team and vision have resonated in the tech and business community.”
“Another major milestone was reached in December 2024, when we joined team.blue, one of Europe’s most prominent digital groups. This strategic move not only recognized the value of our work but also gave us the scale and backing to accelerate our mission internationally. It marked a turning point in our journey, opening new markets and possibilities for growth, innovation, and impact.”
“Above all, moments like receiving a testimonial from a blind user that for the first time of his life he managed to read is payslip online – for us those moments are priceless and why we do what we do.”
Customer Success Stories
Can you share any specific customer success stories? Borsok highlighted:
“One of the customer stories that has stayed with me the most involves an important energy company in Italy. We were tasked with making all their employee pay slips fully accessible, a process that involved not only technical remediation but also rigorous user testing, which we always include as a final step.”
“During the testing phase, one of the users, a long-time employee with a visual disability, was able to independently read his pay slip for the first time in 15 years. He was so moved that he cried. That moment reminded all of us why we do what we do. Accessibility isn’t just about compliance, it’s about dignity, autonomy, and inclusion. And when technology removes a barrier that’s been there for over a decade, it’s incredibly powerful.”
“It’s success stories like these that push us to keep improving, innovating, and scaling our work.”
Funding/Revenue
Are you able to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics? Borsok revealed:
“AccessiWay never raised external funding until the transaction with team.blue last December, and we are very proud for being such a young company (founded in 2021) and already the biggest accessibility company in Europe whether you measure it from a revenue perspective or manpower which are over 100 people across Europe. AccessiWay’s rapid growth rate of over 100% YoY puts us in a position to continue and strengthen our market position in the future.”
Total Addressable Market
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Borsok assessed:
“There are over 33 million companies and public entities in Europe. We see adoption even on micro businesses or newly formed small companies based on the understanding that accessibility is much more than just a compliance requirement. Accessibility puts business owners in a better position to succeed, with better SEO scoring, better usability of their digital assets translating to better customer experience and retention, PR benefits and much more. The market of accessibility is a massive market which is still in the early stages of its adoption.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Borsok affirmed:
“AccessiWay is the first accessibility company that understood the importance of the synergy between technology and human involvement. Until we came along, the market had 2 approaches – technology (mainly overlay) and classic accessibility services. We realized that since the overlay solutions cannot be a fix that fits all cases and solves the problem, we started synergyzing it with all the human expertise that we have and building further technology around it. Currently, this is the reason why AccessiWay has over 500 blue chip logos that trust us with our overlay and the rest of our technology and services.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Borsok concluded:
“The main goal is to further simplify accessibility in a significant way, so it can be very easily digested by different clients no matter the size. From a commercial perspective, we aim to keep growing across Europe.”
