ACERO Capital has appointed former BlackRock executive Violet Osterberg as Chair of its Advisory Board as the Barbados-based investment and financial advisory firm expands its work across the Caribbean and Latin America. Osterberg previously served as Managing Director and Global Head of Private Placements at BlackRock.
The appointment comes as ACERO targets infrastructure and private-market opportunities in a region facing significant capital needs across transportation, utilities, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, sustainable tourism, and other development priorities. The firm advises governments, major corporations, and regional development entities on financing structures, capital markets modernization, and national infrastructure programs.
Osterberg brings experience building and scaling investment platforms at major global institutions. Her background includes investment platform strategy, portfolio leadership through multiple market cycles, cross-border private credit structuring, and institutional capital markets relationships. ACERO expects that experience to help the firm design investment structures that can meet the requirements of both issuers and global allocators.
As Advisory Board Chair, Osterberg will guide ACERO as it expands its platform, deepens government and corporate relationships, and grows its private-market advisory work. The company’s broader strategy is focused on connecting international capital with projects that can support long-term economic development and resilience in the Caribbean and Latin America.
ACERO operates as an independent investment and financial advisory firm serving institutional investors, governments, and major companies. Its capabilities include structured finance, M&A, global fixed income and private credit, infrastructure development finance, and emerging-market advisory.
The appointment is also intended to strengthen ACERO’s ability to develop transparent, scalable proposals that match national development priorities with the return and risk requirements of institutional investors. Osterberg’s role will therefore span both platform strategy and the firm’s relationships with public- and private-sector partners.
