ACI Worldwide: Issuing And Acquiring Revenue Surges 33% As Payment Software Margin Reaches 48%

ACI Worldwide reported accelerating growth across its core Payment Software business during the second quarter of 2026, with Issuing and Acquiring revenue increasing 33% on a constant-currency basis and the segment’s net adjusted EBITDA margin expanding to 48%.

Payment Software revenue increased 9% to $196 million, or 7% on a constant-currency basis. The 33% increase in Issuing and Acquiring revenue was primarily driven by large expansions involving renewing customers.

Payment Software adjusted EBITDA increased 12% to $94 million, or 9% on a constant-currency basis. Operating leverage and expense discipline helped lift the segment’s net adjusted EBITDA margin to 48% from 46% a year earlier despite continued growth investments.

ACI is also expanding its next-generation payments infrastructure. The company successfully enabled its cloud-native ACI Connetic platform across eight major U.S. payment networks and signed two U.S.-based customers, which management described as an important validation of demand for payments modernization.

Companywide Q2 revenue increased 7% to $430 million, while recurring revenue increased 5% to $336 million. Adjusted EBITDA increased 12% to $91 million, and net adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 34% from 32%. Adjusted diluted EPS increased 54% to $0.54.

ACI also continued returning cash to shareholders. The company repurchased 2.5 million shares for approximately $107 million during the first half and had approximately $349 million remaining under its authorization. Management expects to allocate between 50% and 60% of full-year operating cash flow to share repurchases, subject to market conditions.

Following its first-half performance, ACI raised full-year revenue guidance to $1.895 billion to $1.925 billion and Adjusted EBITDA guidance to $545 million to $560 million.
