ACR, also known as AmerCareRoyal, has acquired Ultra Green Packaging, expanding its portfolio of sustainable foodservice and retail packaging products. The transaction represents ACR’s twelfth strategic add-on acquisition since partnering with Oridian Capital Partners.
Ultra Green supplies molded fiber packaging products including take-n-bake pizza trays, sushi trays, and bakeware. ACR plans to add the company’s molded fiber expertise to its PrimeWare product line, broadening its compostable and sustainable packaging offerings and strengthening its presence with grocery and retail customers.
The acquisition fits ACR’s strategy of adding specialized packaging businesses that complement its broader foodservice and operational supplies platform. Ultra Green is headquartered in Mound, Minnesota, and designs and distributes a proprietary line of eco-friendly fiber-based packaging along with rPET packaging lids for foodservice, grocery, and institutional customers.
Kristin Davidson, President and Owner of Ultra Green Packaging, will remain actively involved with the business following the acquisition alongside other members of the management team. ACR said the combination will provide Ultra Green with access to its broader customer relationships and distribution infrastructure while extending the reach of Ultra Green’s sustainable packaging products.
Greenberg Traurig served as legal counsel to ACR. Tamarack Advisory Partners advised Ultra Green financially, while Taft served as Ultra Green’s legal counsel. Oridian Capital Partners focuses on lower-middle-market service, distribution, and manufacturing businesses and uses acquisitions and operating initiatives to support growth across its portfolio.
