Acture Solutions has acquired Digital Back Office, expanding its managed IT, network connectivity and cybersecurity capabilities across regulated markets in the Northeast.
The transaction strengthens Acture’s position in the K-12 education and municipal markets, increases the company’s geographic density, and adds complementary network infrastructure and connectivity services to its existing platform.
Founded in 1991, Digital Back Office is a Connecticut-based managed services provider and internet service provider serving K-12 school districts, municipalities and commercial organizations across the Northeast.
Its services include managed wide-area networks, broadband access, cybersecurity, network design, monitoring and IT support.
Digital Back Office provides end-to-end network management by combining leased fiber connectivity, internet access and managed security services into a single offering.
Its broader capabilities include private fiber connectivity, hosted voice, monitoring and colocation services designed to help customers maintain secure and resilient technology environments.
For Acture, the acquisition adds an established regional provider with more than three decades of operating experience and long-standing relationships with schools and local governments.
The companies expect the combination to provide customers with a broader set of services spanning connectivity, managed IT and cybersecurity while maintaining the high-touch support models of both organizations.
Acture was founded in 1984 and provides managed IT and cybersecurity services to community-focused and highly regulated organizations.
Its customer base includes K-12 schools, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, nonprofits and other regulated businesses.
Acture’s capabilities include fully managed and co-managed IT, 24x7x365 cybersecurity monitoring and response, infrastructure and cloud design and collaboration solutions.
The Digital Back Office transaction also advances Acture’s strategy of building a specialized managed services platform focused on markets where security, reliability and regulatory requirements are particularly important.
The acquisition follows Acture’s strategic growth financing from Stonepeak Credit and its acquisition of Artilus earlier in 2026.
Acture plans to continue investing in the combined organization’s technical capabilities and service platform as it grows across its target markets.
The Digital Back Office transaction closed during the second quarter of 2026.
