Adams Outdoor Advertising announced the acquisition of 30 billboard faces from McWhorter Media Group, expanding its presence into Upstate South Carolina and marking the second transaction between the two companies following a prior acquisition in Virginia.

The newly acquired inventory includes billboard placements across Spartanburg, Greer, Boiling Springs, and Inman. Key corridors covered by the acquisition include Warren Abernathy Highway and Reidville Road in Spartanburg, SC-9 through Inman and Boiling Springs, and Wade Hampton Boulevard, Zuber Road, and SC-101 in Greer.

The transaction also expands Adams Outdoor Advertising’s reach into South Carolina’s western corridor with 12 billboard faces positioned along I-20 at Exit 22 near Aiken, northeast of Augusta, Georgia.

The Greenville/Spartanburg designated market area represents a new market for Adams Outdoor Advertising. The company cited the region’s population and economic growth as strategic drivers behind the acquisition. Spartanburg has ranked among the 10 fastest-growing metro areas in the United States for the second consecutive year, while Greenville County has attracted nearly $2 billion in business investment over the past five years. The regional economy is supported by major employers including BMW, Michelin, Boeing, GE, and Lockheed Martin.

The acquisition was brokered by Drachman M&A Co..

Founded as a privately held company, Adams Outdoor Advertising operates as the fourth-largest out-of-home advertising company in the United States, offering static and digital billboard campaigns across multiple U.S. markets.
