This strategic deal marks a significant expansion into North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad region, encompassing Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.
The Triad is a vital manufacturing and transportation hub in the southeastern United States and a thriving center for education, healthcare, and cultural development.
This acquisition includes Riley (Patriot) Outdoor’s inventory of 201 billboard faces and 7 digital displays, spanning 12 counties in eastern North Carolina. This addition further enhances Adams Outdoor Advertising’s market reach and solidifies its position as a leader in North Carolina’s largest cities.
Riley Outdoor, launched in August 2005 by Robert Moore, was named after Moore’s daughter and quickly became a trailblazer in the industry. And in November 2007, the company launched its first digital billboard, a 10’x30’ Daktronics Digital, in Greenville, North Carolina.
As a seasoned entrepreneur and industry veteran, Moore has a history of leadership in outdoor advertising, such as serving over 15 years as a North Carolina Outdoor Advertising Association board member, where he advocated for industry interests before the North Carolina General Assembly. With experience in the sector, this marks Moore’s third successful venture in building and selling outdoor advertising companies.
With this acquisition, Adams Outdoor will establish a new market in its portfolio, dubbed “The Triad,” an area recognized for its economic vitality and growth potential.
