Adams Street Partners — a private markets investment management firm with $40 billion of assets under management — announced the final closing of the Adams Street 2019 Partnership Fund Program at approximately $740 million in capital commitments.

The global fund program had received strong demand from investors worldwide with commitments from new and existing investors in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. And the diverse array of investors included public and corporate pension plans, high net worth individuals, foundations, and endowments.

Adams Street’s global program is known for providing clients with a comprehensive private markets portfolio with exposure to all of its investment strategies, including primaries, secondaries, co-investments, growth equity, and private credit. Launched in 1996, Adam Street’s global program has been managed through disciplined risk management and portfolio construction techniques.

“We’re pleased to see ongoing demand from current clients and new investors in our global fund program, which continues to incorporate cutting-edge research and risk management in the development of comprehensive, globally diversified private equity portfolios,” said Miguel Gonzalo, partner and head of investment strategy and risk management at Adams Street Partners. “Adams Street’s ability to access risk-adjusted investments across the private markets is well aligned with investors’ continued search for attractive risk-adjusted returns in the current low yield environment.”

This year, Adams Street also announced the final closing of the Adams Street Global Secondary Fund 6 with approximately $1.05 billion in capital commitments as well as the completed fundraising for its inaugural Private Credit program with approximately $1.10 billion of capital available to deploy, including leverage.

Adams Street is considered one of the largest and most established private markets investment management firms in the world. The company commenced its investment program in 1972 and manages $40 billion of assets across five strategies: primary and secondary private fund investments, co-investments, private credit investments, and direct growth equity investments.

Currently, Adams Street employs over 200 people in Chicago, Beijing, Boston, London, Menlo Park, Munich, New York, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo.
