ADC Aerospace Acquires Hyatt Die Cast To Create Market-Leading Aerospace And Defense Die Casting Platform

ADC Aerospace, a Buena Park, California-based manufacturer of complex, highly engineered turnkey die-cast parts for aerospace and defense applications, has acquired Hyatt Die Cast & Engineering Corporation, a nearly 60-year-old manufacturer of aluminum and zinc die castings serving aerospace, defense, and medical equipment customers. Financial terms were not disclosed. ADC has been backed by GreyLion, a lower-middle-market private equity firm, since 2019. GreyLion manages approximately $2.0 billion in aggregate fund commitments.

The transaction brings together what ADC describes as the two largest aerospace and defense-focused turnkey die-casting businesses in the market, creating a combined platform with greater scale, a broader customer base, and a more balanced mix of commercial aerospace and defense end markets. Hyatt holds ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality certifications and is ITAR registered, reflecting the regulatory standards required for defense manufacturing. ADC’s existing customer roster includes Raytheon Technologies, Honeywell, Safran, TransDigm Group, Heico, L3Harris, and Parker-Meggitt.

ADC’s turnkey model covers not just die casting but also value-added processes including precision machining, coatings, and mechanical assembly — a vertically integrated approach that allows customers to source finished or near-finished components from a single supplier rather than coordinating across multiple vendors. Hyatt similarly offers in-house powder coating, assembly, pressure testing, and packaging. The integration of the two businesses is expected to deepen that turnkey capability and expand the combined company’s ability to serve complex program requirements across its customer base.

Following the close, ADC plans to transition Hyatt’s operations to its Buena Park campus.
