Adenia Partners has signed definitive agreements to acquire a majority stake in Parkville Pharmaceuticals, marking Adenia’s first majority investment in Egypt. The stake is being purchased from Admaius Capital Partners, alongside Parkville’s leadership including Dr. Sherif Bassiouny, the company’s chairman, and Dr. Mahmoud Farrag, Parkville’s CEO. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Cairo-headquartered Parkville, founded in 2008, operates across pharmaceuticals, cosmeceuticals, and nutraceuticals, with a portfolio spanning personal care and wellness categories as well as therapeutic pharmaceutical lines. The company develops, manufactures, and distributes products including skincare, haircare, deodorants, food supplements, and select pharmaceutical offerings, and it has built a notable position in Egypt’s growing cosmeceutical market. Parkville operates a production facility in Alexandria and exports to multiple regional markets, with brands that include StarVille, StrongVille, Bobai, Glamy Lan, Shaan, Seropipe, and Sulfax.

Adenia said it plans to support Parkville’s next phase of growth by enhancing the product portfolio, accelerating digital and e-commerce capabilities, and expanding further into regional markets. The investment aligns with Adenia’s stated approach of backing scalable businesses across Africa, leveraging on-the-ground presence and a platform-building strategy focused on sustainable value creation.

On the sell side, Admaius described the past two years as a period of transformation and value creation alongside Parkville’s management team, while Parkville emphasized ambitions to broaden its offerings, strengthen commercial execution, and grow regionally with Adenia as its new partner.

Adenia was advised by Baker McKenzie as legal counsel. Zilla Capital served as sole financial advisor to the existing shareholders, and Matouk Bassiouny acted as legal counsel.
