Adobe announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Dan Durn will leave the company on June 15, 2026, to pursue a new professional opportunity. Steve Day, a more than 20-year Adobe veteran who currently serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance, will assume the role of interim CFO.
The leadership transition comes as Adobe reported record second-quarter financial results and raised its fiscal 2026 revenue and earnings outlook, driven by continued demand for its AI-powered products and services.
Day currently leads Adobe’s corporate finance organization and serves as CFO of the Customer Experience business. In his new role, he will oversee Adobe’s global finance organization and report directly to Chair and CEO Shantanu Narayen. The company said Day has played a key role in Adobe’s strategic planning and financial operations throughout his two decades with the company.
Durn joined Adobe in 2021 after serving as CFO of Applied Materials. During his tenure, he helped guide the company through significant investments in artificial intelligence, product innovation, and operational transformation. He will become chief financial officer of Marvell Technology.
The CFO transition follows Adobe’s March announcement that long-time CEO Shantanu Narayen plans to step down after a successor is identified, marking a period of leadership change at the software giant.
Adobe recently raised its full-year revenue forecast to between $26.5 billion and $26.6 billion and increased its adjusted earnings outlook, citing strong momentum across its AI offerings. AI-first annual recurring revenue more than tripled and surpassed $500 million at the end of the second quarter.
