Adolfson & Peterson Construction has promoted John Herrera to Chief Operating Officer and Brandon Hill to Regional President of its Mountain States business as part of the company’s leadership succession strategy. Both appointments become effective October 1, 2026.

He began his career with the company at age 18 as a laborer and subsequently advanced through positions including foreman, assistant superintendent, superintendent, general superintendent, Vice President of Field Operations and Regional President of AP Mountain States.

As COO, Herrera will oversee AP’s national operations with responsibility for strengthening operational excellence, collaboration and consistency across its regional businesses. He will remain based in Colorado.

Hill will succeed Herrera as Mountain States Regional President.

The appointments provide leadership continuity as AP expands nationally while preserving regional operating expertise.
