How Advantus Health And HHS’ $1.2 Billion Agreement Will Expand Hospitality Services

By Amit Chowdhry • May 31, 2023

Advantus Health Partners and HHS recently announced their strategic partnership to expand hospitality services for Advantus members, delivering a patient-centric hospitality approach for food and nutrition services, hospital patient transport, and environmental services. And this strategic collaboration is an 8-year $1.2 billion agreement designed to provide optimized productivity and expanded analytics capabilities that ultimately contribute to a high-quality and consistent patient experience.

Hospital outsourcing is expected to grow substantially in the coming years. And this growth is largely due to industry financial pressures driving health systems to focus on their core business of clinical care delivery.

HHS was selected due to the company’s extensive industry expertise, technology innovations and collaborative approach to aligning a consistent hospitality model for hospitals and large-scale health systems. And this strategic collaboration enables Advantus to bring full-service hospitality options to its growing client base of more than 200 hospitals, 1,700 sites of care and 600+ clinics in 46 states.
