Advent Life Sciences Appoints Gail Jermyn Investor Relations Partner

Advent Life Sciences has appointed Gail Jermyn as Investor Relations Partner, strengthening its senior leadership team as the firm continues investing across drug discovery, enabling technologies and medtech.

In the new role, Jermyn will lead investor relations and fundraising for the London-based venture and growth capital firm. She will work closely with Advent’s general partners on investor communications, capital raising and strategic development.

The appointment comes as Advent continues supporting mid- and late-stage clinical programs across its portfolio while evaluating new opportunities from Series A through growth-stage financings.

Advent said its team has helped support 17 product approvals over 21 years as a seed or Series A investor, including products addressing menopause, genetic disorders and cancer.

Jermyn brings more than two decades of fundraising and investor relations experience.

She previously managed investor relations at Weight Partners Capital and supported BC Partners in raising its ninth fund.

Before joining Advent Life Sciences, Jermyn worked at Colony Capital, where she focused on developing strategic relationships with European investors.

Earlier in her career, she worked at placement agents MVision Private Equity Advisers and Atlantic-Pacific Capital, participating in fundraises spanning multiple industries and geographies.

Advent Life Sciences invests in life sciences companies across the UK, Europe and the U.S., with a focus on translating scientific innovation into approved medicines and medical products.
