AEA Investors announced that Adam Biren has joined the firm as Partner and Head of Capital Formation – Americas, strengthening its investor relations and fundraising capabilities across North America. Based in New York, Biren will focus on expanding the firm’s limited partner network and deepening relationships across its private equity and private credit strategies.

Biren brings more than two decades of experience across private equity, alternative investments, and investor relations. In his new role, he will lead capital formation efforts across the Americas, working closely with AEA’s leadership team to broaden the firm’s reach, including in underserved regions, through a relationship-driven and solutions-oriented approach.

He joins AEA from Apollo Global Management, where he served as a Managing Director leading investor coverage for the U.S. South and Southeast. Prior to Apollo, he held roles at Evercore and JPMorgan, and earlier worked in private equity at Sandell Asset Management and ICV Partners. He began his career in investment banking at Houlihan Lokey.

AEA, which manages approximately $19 billion in assets, continues to invest in its global investor relations platform as it scales its multi-strategy offering focused on middle-market opportunities. The firm’s leadership sees capital formation as a key lever for growth as demand for alternative investments continues to expand.
