Aeromax Industries, a diversified aerospace aftermarket support provider, has acquired The Ely Co., Inc., a precision aerospace machining company based in Torrance, California. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal marks the first acquisition completed by Aeromax Industries since its own acquisition by Chimney Rock Equity Partners.
Founded in 1955, The Ely Co., Inc. specializes in producing tight-tolerance metallic components for commercial and military aerospace customers. The company focuses on milling, turning, and assembly services and has longstanding relationships with major aerospace clients. Ely has been owned by the Senff family since 1964, and Kurt and Wally Senff will continue to lead the business under Aeromax ownership.
Aeromax said the acquisition enhances its manufacturing capabilities and aligns with its strategy to expand its footprint in aerospace aftermarket services. The company operates across Florida, Texas, and California, providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul, manufacturing, and distribution solutions to customers globally.
The transaction also reflects Chimney Rock Equity Partners’ broader buy-and-build approach in the aerospace and defense sector, targeting platform companies and scaling them through strategic acquisitions.
Support: JANAS Associates served as financial advisor to the seller.
