AFS has acquired Debticate, adding loan syndication and sales workflow technology to its commercial loan servicing and lifecycle management platform. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.
Debticate provides software that helps financial institutions manage syndicated lending workflows from origination through distribution, closing and agency administration.
The acquisition combines those front-end syndication capabilities with AFS’ existing commercial loan servicing technology.
AFS plans to offer financial institutions a more integrated platform spanning a larger portion of the syndicated loan lifecycle.
The combined technology is designed to help banks and other financial institutions automate complex lending processes while improving coordination across origination, syndication, distribution and servicing operations.
Debticate’s software and analytics will become part of the broader AFS product suite.
The transaction also expands AFS’ exposure to a segment of commercial lending where transactions frequently involve multiple financial institutions and require specialized technology to coordinate documentation, allocations and ongoing servicing.
Debticate has spent approximately two decades developing syndicated loan technology for financial institutions across North America.
Joining AFS gives the business access to a larger customer base and additional resources for product development.
For existing AFS customers, the acquisition adds front-end syndication functionality to a platform that has historically been focused heavily on loan servicing and lifecycle management.
The acquisition reflects AFS’ strategy of investing in technology that can modernize and automate the commercial lending infrastructure used by financial institutions.
KEY QUOTES:
