AgriPass, an AI and robotics company focused on adaptive agricultural field operations, announced that it has raised $7.5 million in seed funding to accelerate the commercial-scale-up of its RHIC robotic weed-control platform across the United States and Europe.

The funding round was led by Harbor Venture Consulting, with participation from existing investors including E44 Climate Ventures and strategic ecosystem partners. The capital will be used to support manufacturing readiness, expand commercial field operations, and advance development of the company’s AI-driven cultivation technology across additional crops and agricultural use cases.

Founded in 2023, AgriPass develops robotics and artificial intelligence designed to replicate human agronomic decision-making in real time. Its RHIC platform, short for Robotic Human-Inspired Cultivation, combines computer vision with contextual AI to identify weeds and guide targeted mechanical intervention. The system removes weeds at the root level while minimizing soil disruption and eliminating the need for chemical herbicides.

The company says the platform is designed to deliver human-level selectivity at industrial scale by dynamically adapting cultivation depth and engagement based on weed presence, crop proximity, and soil conditions as work is performed in the field.

AgriPass is initially focusing on high-value vegetable crops, where labor shortages, weed pressure, and soil health concerns can significantly affect farm productivity and profitability. The system is intended to help farmers reduce reliance on manual labor and chemical herbicides while supporting soil conservation and regenerative agricultural practices. According to the company, the robotic platform can replace the work of up to 20 manual laborers in a single day.

AgriPass already has active commercial deployments in both the United States and the European Union. The company reports that existing contracts and advanced-stage engagements are expected to contribute to projected revenue in 2026 as the platform scales commercially.

The company also collaborates with organizations across the agricultural robotics ecosystem, including FYELD Agriculture OEM, EIT Food, and the NVIDIA Inception Program. These partnerships support both technology development and field deployment initiatives.

AgriPass was recently recognized as a winner of the 2025 Climate Solutions Prize, and CEO Liron Yanay was named one of the leading Women in AgFood 2025.

KEY QUOTES

“Labor volatility, regulatory pressure, and soil degradation are redefining farm operations. Food security now depends on building more resilient production systems and agriculture is undergoing a structural transformation to meet these challenges. We built RHIC to replicate human agronomic judgment in real time, guiding soil-safe, selective mechanical action at commercial scale. This funding enables us to expand across the U.S. and Europe and scale our durable cultivation platform designed for long-term performance.”
