Willard Ahdritz, founder of Kobalt Music Group, launched Ahdritz Capital Partners, a music and media technology investment firm operating across New York and Stockholm.
The firm will focus on backing founders building technology across media infrastructure and systems, as well as fandom and audience platforms.
Ahdritz Capital Partners is led by Founder and Managing Partner Willard Ahdritz, Investment Partner Stephen Langer, and newly appointed Investment Partner Isabel Keulen.
Keulen is based in Stockholm and joins the firm after serving as CEO of SSE Ventures and SSE Business Lab at the Stockholm School of Economics.
She led one of Europe’s top startup hubs and its associated venture fund and will continue serving as Senior Advisor to both organizations.
Before SSE, Keulen was a Principal at Spintop Ventures, where she invested in early-stage technology companies.
She began her career in investment banking after earning a law degree in the United Kingdom.
Langer joined Ahdritz Capital Partners in May and brings more than a decade of experience across media, entertainment, and finance.
Most recently, he served as Vice President in Lazard’s Media, Entertainment & Sports group, where he helped build the firm’s music M&A practice.
His experience also includes advising clients across film, television, sports, talent, and diversified media.
Ahdritz founded Kobalt Music Group in 2000 and led the company for more than two decades as CEO and later Chairman.
He also co-founded AMRA, the global digital collection society.
Ahdritz stepped down from Kobalt after the company was acquired by Primary Wave in July 2026.
The new firm plans to operate as a single global team across New York and Stockholm.
One of its priorities will be helping international portfolio companies establish operations in the United States and other major markets.
Ahdritz Capital Partners said portfolio companies will receive hands-on operational support, including introductions to U.S.-based operators, advisors, and industry contacts.
The firm also plans to work directly with founders on strategic and operational questions involved in entering new markets.
