AI.Fashion – a Y Combinator-backed leader in AI technology for the fashion industry – announced the early access launch of its latest platform Persona by AI.Fashion, which comes shortly after raising a $3.6 million seed round led by Neo. And the addition of Persona to the AI.Fashion platform opens up new revenue streams for models by enabling them to book more work virtually and democratizing access to opportunities in the industry.
Persona by AI.Fashion enables real models to get hired by the world’s most exciting brands for virtual photoshoots through advanced AI technology. This method not only preserves the irreplaceable authenticity that real models bring but also opens up new realms of opportunity and flexibility for them while ensuring control over their image and likeness. And for brands, it’s a chance to embrace the benefits of AI without losing the human element that is vital to fashion.
Brands are able to do virtual photoshoots with their models, enabling them to dress them in the brand’s clothing in any setting, like a studio or editorial, and customize the image aesthetics to match their brand guidelines perfectly. Only approved and registered brands can access the model platform and the images through the Persona by AI.Fashion platform. Models can set their own rates and will be paid each time their photo is used. Both models and brands have to opt in to work together.
AI.Fashion will start by offering this service with independent models and influencers, with plans to open the platform more widely to onboard additional models and brands. And models will be on-boarded by uploading a series of photos and various measurements. The brand pricing will vary on factors including which models they work with, the number of images the models appear in, and whether the images are AI studio photography or AI editorial photography.
