AIA Contract Documents has appointed Scott Wolfe as Chief Executive Officer as the construction agreements platform expands its technology capabilities and prepares for a major update to its contract documents. The organization said its agreements support more than $100 billion in contract value each year.
Wolfe began his career as a construction lawyer and later founded Levelset, a construction payments technology company acquired by Procore in 2021 for $500 million. He has served on the AIA Contract Documents board since August 2025 and also serves on the boards of Earlytrade and Prokeep.
His appointment comes as AIA Contract Documents continues modernizing tools used by owners, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders. The company traces its standardized construction contracts to 1888 and has expanded from paper agreements into a broader set of digital contract tools and workflows.
AIA Contract Documents is also preparing to release its 2027 contract documents, which the company described as a once-a-decade update expected to influence how owners, architects, and contractors work together for years. Wolfe’s background in construction law, payments, and software is intended to support that transition.
The company also named Brian Megless Chief Marketing Officer. Megless will focus on growth, customer engagement, and association partnerships, bringing more than 25 years of experience building marketing and revenue teams at Procore, Levelset, and Prokeep. Together, the appointments are intended to support AIA Contract Documents’ next phase of product development and customer growth.
