Joshua Aaron’s Background

Joshua Aaron

What is Joshua Aaron’s background? Aaron said:

“My name is Josh Aaron. I’m the CEO and founder of Aiden Technologies. I am a seasoned enterprise IT leader, cybersecurity expert, and entrepreneur, and I have held key positions such as CEO, CIO, and CTO during my 20+ year career. Before establishing Aiden, I most recently served as the CTO of the private equity firm Hellman & Friedman and the CIO of The New York Foundling, a prominent healthcare organization. Additionally, I founded and led Business Technology Partners, a premier IT consulting firm catering to major financial, legal, and healthcare organizations globally.”

“I earned my B.S.E in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. I loved my time at Michigan and have stayed involved with the university by joining the board for its Department of Industrial and Operational Engineering and its Entrepreneurs’ Organization.”

Formation Of Aiden Technologies

How did the idea for the company come together? Aaron shared:

“In 2004, Sean Maloney, who is now the CTO of Aiden Technologies, was working in IT but was growing frustrated with the operations of his employer at the time. Motivated by efficiency, he started developing his own software, which he called Mass Deploy, to streamline the work of IT engineers. In 2020, I was working for a private equity company, and we became a customer of Mass Deploy. After learning more about what Sean’s software did and the opportunity it had to revolutionize the IT industry, I decided to quit my job and work with Sean to grow the company, which we renamed Aiden Technologies, and see the software reach its full potential.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features?  Aaron explained:

“Aiden is an intelligent endpoint automation solution designed to simplify tasks related to managing Windows environments. It automates Desired State Configuration for Windows computers, supports WFA Hybrid Environments for secure updates, brings clarity to compliance through AidenVision, and eliminates software vulnerabilities by automating IT processes. The goal is to free teams from tedious tasks, allowing them to focus on more impactful projects while Aiden ensures Windows endpoints are properly configured, updated, and secured.”

Right Side Capital Management and Blu Venture Investors co-led this round, building on our successful partnership with Right Side during our initial $2.9 million seed funding in 2021. Receiving this funding is incredibly rewarding—it validates the countless hours of hard work we’ve invested in the company and reinforces that we’re building something truly special.”

Customer Success Stories

When asking Aaron about customer success stories, he highlighted:

“Bond, Schoeneck & King, a law firm with 300 lawyers, reduced security vulnerabilities by 30% after implementing Aiden’s technology. They experienced a 75% decrease in computer imaging time, a 30% drop in security vulnerabilities, and saved $120,000 annually.”

“Additionally, a global bio-tech company, focused on genetic testing, saved $2.6 million and reduced downtime by 90% with Aiden’s support in navigating complex regulatory obligations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and FDA compliance.”

How AI Can Improve Security Strategies

Most of the conversations in the media around AI are focused on how it will increase security vulnerabilities. How can we change the conversation in 2025 to be about how AI can improve security strategies? Aaron concluded:

In 2025, to shift the media conversation around AI from potential vulnerabilities to its role in enhancing security strategies, we need to focus on demonstrating AI’s effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) compared to traditional human-operated systems.”

“It’s crucial to present concrete examples where AI has not only improved efficiency in detecting and responding to security threats but also significantly reduced costs and resource utilization.”

“AI’s ability to process and analyze large datasets far more quickly and accurately than human teams is a key advantage. By highlighting cases where AI-led systems have successfully preempted cyberattacks or swiftly mitigated breaches, we can illustrate its superior effectiveness. Additionally, quantifying AI’s ROI in terms of reduced downtime, fewer security breaches, and lower operational costs will be compelling for businesses.”

“Emphasizing these aspects will help in changing the narrative around AI. It’s about showcasing AI as a valuable and cost-effective tool that enhances cybersecurity strategies, ultimately leading to a more secure and efficient digital environment.”
