INFODAS GmbH announced it has agreed to sell its shares in the company to Airbus Defence and Space. Combining expertise in securing the most sensitive data infrastructures and developing sophisticated technology, Airbus and INFODAS have a history of delivering top-tier solutions tailored to their client’s evolving needs.

Their shared understanding of customer requirements and relentless drive to become the spearhead of innovative cybersecurity will set the path to enter new markets and generate future growth. The deal is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be finalized before the end of the year.

This acquisition supports Airbus’ strategic goals of strengthening its cybersecurity portfolio to benefit its European and global customers. With a surge in cyber threats and the increasing digitalization and connectivity of its products and systems, cybersecurity is a major component of Airbus’ development.

Over the last few years, the group has developed its cybersecurity capabilities and expertise, ensuring advanced protection for its products, operations, customers, and ecosystem, including major programs such as the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

For 50 years, INFODAS has developed cybersecurity products and provided IT and cybersecurity consulting in the public sector, including defense and critical infrastructure.

The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) certified the company as an IT security service provider in information system auditing, consulting, and penetration tests. The company’s product portfolio includes cross-domain solutions (security gateways, data diodes, and data classification services) or patch management for isolated networks. INFODAS products have a security-by-design architecture and have been approved by GEHEIM for Germany, NATO SECRET, and EU SECRET.

The products are also certified under Common Criteria and hold other country-specific certificates.
