Airspan: $42.7 Million NTIA Grant Received For Advancing Open RAN Technology Development

Airspan Networks – a US-based leader in wireless innovation and development – announced it has been awarded $42,729,740 from the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund. And this award, provided by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), reinforces Airspan’s commitment to driving U.S. leadership in next-generation wireless technologies.

This funding round will accelerate Airspan’s efforts to advance Open RAN architecture by developing an extensible radio unit (O-RU) platform designed to integrate advanced features and maximize power efficiency and performance.
