Airtable recently announced it raised a $735 million Series F funding round at a valuation of $11 billion. This is nearly double the company’s valuation from earlier this year. So far, the company has raised nearly $1.4 billion.
This round of funding was led by XN. And new investors Franklin Templeton, Salesforce Ventures and Michael Dell’s MSD Capital also joinde. Plus existing investors including Benchmark, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners and Thrive Capital also participated in the round.
Airtable was co-founded by Howie Liu — who had previously sold a company called Etacts to Salesforce in 2011.
“This round really gives us financial freedom as a company. We’re going to be able to go and execute on the long-term opportunity of the space,” said Liu in an interview with CNBC recently. “This bridges us to profitability and allows us to time an IPO at the time that’s ideal for us as a company.”
Airtable is a cloud collaboration service that makes it easy to create apps for those who have limited coding abilities. Some of the company’s clients include Netflix and Shopify.
