Aitan Raises $41 Million In Funding Co-Led By Deep33 And Dell Technologies Capital

Aitan has raised $41 million in new financing co-led by Deep33 and Dell Technologies Capital, bringing the defense technology company’s total capital raised to $54 million as it emerges from stealth.

The round also included Gokul Rajaram, Benjamin Ling of Bling Capital and Kevin Weil of Scribble Ventures. The funding will support continued product development, international expansion and growth of Aitan’s global team.

Aitan is developing what it calls Robotic Sovereignty-as-a-Service, providing allied nations with edge-AI robotic systems and the infrastructure needed to deploy, coordinate and continuously evolve robotic capabilities.

The company’s technology is designed around autonomous systems operating as coordinated networks rather than independent machines, with an emphasis on command and control, swarming, edge AI and autonomy.

Aitan said its systems have accumulated more than 500,000 combat hours across deployments with the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli national security agencies. The company also recently secured a joint contract to develop the command-and-control platform for the IDF’s next-generation attack drone fleet, along with design contracts for other robotic systems.

Aitan was founded by Udi Oster and Daniel Almog, who previously served as officers in Israel’s Unit 8200 and later built Tapingo, which was acquired by Grubhub.

The company plans to use its latest financing to take technology developed and validated in Israel into additional allied markets globally.

KEY QUOTES:

“We built Aitan because we had no choice. Our friends and family went to war, and we were determined to build what would bring them home. Three years later, we’ve developed decisive battlefield technology, proven in combat — and we’re on a mission to put these capabilities in the hands of the allies that need them.”

Daniel Almog, Co-CEO of Aitan

“We believe Physical AI will be one of the most important technology shifts of the coming decade. But first, we need to solve the challenge of coordinating highly complex autonomous systems in challenging real-world environments. That’s been the Aitan team’s mission from day one. They recognized early on that the future of defense belongs to intelligent networks of disparate systems operating together. Their proven deployment in real-world defense environments validates that vision and the growing importance of these capabilities. We’re proud to be backing this team today.”

Yair Snir, Managing Director at Dell Technologies Capital

“We’re excited to invest in Aitan alongside Dell Technologies Capital because robotic warfare is becoming a sovereign capability, and we believe Aitan’s team has turned unmatched real-world experience into a platform allied nations can build on. Israel is one of the only places in the world with the combat experience and flight hours to develop robotic weapon systems at scale, giving Aitan a difficult-to-replicate advantage and a significant opportunity to bring that capability to allied nations.”
