AKAM has acquired Matthew Adam Properties, a New York City-based property management firm overseeing 85 buildings, further expanding its presence across the city’s residential, commercial, and office property markets.
Founded more than 30 years ago, Matthew Adam Properties has built its business around personalized property management services and long-term relationships with building owners, boards, and residents.
The acquisition adds Matthew Adam Properties to AKAM’s growing family of property management companies, which also includes Orsid New York, Metro Management, and Hoffman Management.
AKAM plans to preserve Matthew Adam Properties’ established local identity and client relationships while providing access to the broader company’s operational infrastructure, procurement capabilities, ancillary services, technology, and industry expertise.
Matthew Adam Properties founder and President Ira Meister said joining AKAM will provide the firm’s clients and employees with greater scale while maintaining the personalized service model that has defined the business.
AKAM has more than four decades of property management experience and operates primarily across New York and Florida. The company uses its ResIQ business philosophy to emphasize customer service, resident experiences, operational standards, and long-term property value.
Backed by Audax Private Equity, AKAM is continuing to expand through acquisitions of property management businesses that complement its existing operations. Its model allows acquired brands to maintain their identities and local management relationships while benefiting from shared resources and purchasing scale.
