Akerman has added Bruce Steinert as a partner in its Corporate Practice Group in Los Angeles, strengthening the firm’s West Coast debt finance and private equity capabilities.
Steinert advises private equity sponsors, debt investment funds, public companies and privately held businesses on leveraged buyout financing and other debt and corporate matters.
His practice includes acquisition facilities, refinancing facilities, recapitalizations, distressed and workout financing, bond issuances, second-lien debt and junior debt transactions across domestic and cross-border situations.

He is the second partner to join Akerman’s Los Angeles office in recent weeks, following litigation partner Jade Faysal Jurdi.
