Akin has added Filippo Durazzo as a corporate partner in London, continuing the expansion of its global private equity platform.
Durazzo reunites with U.S. Head of Private Equity Gerald Brant, partner Jeffrey Kochian, London-based partner Jono Hamill and members of their team.
His addition expands Akin’s capabilities across private equity transactions, complex mergers and acquisitions and capital solutions.
Durazzo advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies and other corporations on complex cross-border transactions spanning the U.S., U.K. and European Union, including Italy.
His experience includes capital solutions, M&A, carve-outs, co-investments, divestitures, recapitalizations, refinancings and joint ventures.
Durazzo is the fourth private equity partner to join Akin’s London office during the past year.
The firm’s wider private equity expansion has included Gerald Brant and Jeffrey Kochian, Brittany Harrison and Megan Spelman in New York, Jono Hamill, Dan Oates and Angela Becker in London, Dilen Kumar in Dallas and Kimberley Rowe in Los Angeles.
