- Case Status, a client relationship management and marketing platform for law firms, announced it raised $1.5 million
Birmingham, Alabama-based Case Status — a client relationship management and marketing platform for law firms — announced that it has raised a Series Seed II investment funding round of $1.5 million from venture investment firm BIP Capital. This round of funding will be used for supporting the company’s rapid growth, including the addition of new veteran personnel and the development of new feature sets for specific practice areas.
What does Case Status do? Case Status saves lawyers time while improving the client experience through efficient communications. And by providing clients with a better experience, lawyers are able to build cases faster and increase referrals and positive reviews from existing clients.
As a lawyer, Case Status co-founder and CEO Lauren Sturdivant felt the pain of trying to keep all of her clients updated. So she started looking for an available solution but was not able to find one. So Sturdivant made the decision to leave her law firm and build a client relationship management solution for the legal industry.
Key Quotes:
“It’s fascinating that in a world where you can track everything—from Amazon packages to the status of your pizza order—there was no way for clients to track the status of their case, one of the most important things going in their lives.”
“Lack of communication is the number one complaint to every state bar association in the country. Lawyers struggle with heavy workloads and often do not have the time to constantly update their clients. Yet at the same time, clients are scared and don’t understand the process. They just want to know what’s going on and need to feel that their lawyer cares and is working on their case. Case Status delivers a way to provide such communications more efficiently.”
